Artist, mentor and creative entrepreneur.
Twenty years turning ideas into real projects.

WHY MAKE MODE EXISTS

Every creative person needs someone in their corner.

I’ve spent twenty years working as an illustrator, from early commissions through to campaigns for brands like Nike, Audi and the NBA. Over that time, I’ve learned that the people who build meaningful creative lives are not necessarily the most naturally gifted. They are often the ones who had someone to think things through with, who kept going when a project became difficult, and who finished what they started.

Too many young creative people never get that kind of support. Their interests are treated as a distraction instead of a starting point. I wanted to create the opposite: a space where what someone is genuinely into is taken seriously and developed into real skills, finished work and a clearer sense of direction.

Make Mode is the result: one-to-one creative mentoring for young people and adults, built around each person’s interests, goals and pace.

Twenty Years of Making Things

Make Mode is built on real professional practice, not theory. Everything I teach comes from work I've actually done.

How I Work

Every session is shaped around the person in front of me. These are the things that stay the same.

Interest-Led

We start with what you're genuinely into, not a set curriculum. Motivation looks after itself when the subject actually matters to you.

Strengths-Based

We build on what you're already good at rather than fixing what you're not. Progress comes faster from strengths than from gaps.

At Your Own Pace

Some weeks are productive, some aren't, and that's normal. Sessions adapt to how you're going rather than pushing a schedule.

No Pressure to Be "Good"

This isn't about producing perfect artwork. It's about making things, finishing them, and feeling capable.

Things I'm Into

Mentoring works best when there's genuine common ground. Here's some of mine.
