Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 August, 2026
Make Mode respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and what choices you have.
Make Mode is operated by Andrew Archer (ABN 82 641 885 903), based in Melbourne and providing creative mentoring in person and online across Australia.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact details such as your name, email address and phone number
Enquiry information, including who you are enquiring on behalf of, how your NDIS plan is managed, and what you're interested in
Participant information needed to deliver mentoring, such as interests, goals, strengths, support needs and any adjustments that help sessions run well
Service and billing information such as session dates, service agreements, invoices and plan manager details
Website information such as basic analytics about how the site is used
We only collect what we reasonably need to provide mentoring or respond to your enquiry. We ask people not to send detailed health information through our website form.
How we collect it
Usually directly from you, through our website enquiry form, by email or phone, or in conversation before and during mentoring.
Sometimes we receive information from someone acting on your behalf, such as a parent, carer, support coordinator or plan manager. Where that happens, we assume they have your permission to share it.
Why we collect it
To respond to enquiries
To work out whether mentoring is a good fit
To plan and deliver sessions around each participant's goals and interests
To communicate with participants, families and support teams
To prepare service agreements, invoices and progress summaries
To meet our record-keeping and legal obligations
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information where it's necessary and, wherever possible, with your consent. That may include:
Plan managers where invoices need to be processed
Support coordinators, parents, carers or support workers involved in a participant's supports
Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email provider and website form service, some of which may store data overseas
Others where required by law, or where there is a serious risk to someone's safety
Young people and consent
Some participants are under 18. Where that's the case, we usually involve a parent or guardian in setting up mentoring, and we're mindful of the young person's own privacy within that.
We talk with participants about what will be shared with families and support teams, so nobody is surprised by what's passed on.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. That includes password-protected devices and accounts, limiting access to what's needed, and using reputable service providers.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously, particularly given who we work with.
How long we keep it
We keep records for as long as needed to deliver services and meet legal, insurance and tax obligations, generally at least seven years after our last contact. After that we securely delete or de-identify them.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to correct anything that's wrong. Email info@makemode.com.au and we'll respond within a reasonable time, normally within 30 days.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website may use cookies and basic analytics to understand how the site is used. This doesn't identify you personally. You can block cookies in your browser settings.
Making a complaint
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@makemode.com.au so we can try to sort it out.
